Sentio Solutions develops digital therapeutics and biomarkers for mental health. During the pandemic, they launched Feel & Feel Relief - the only data-driven, human-centered, digital, mental health program to leverage continuous monitoring and real-time personalized interventions. Friends since childhood, the two Founders of Sentio have been working together closely for over 5 years to create and develop Sentio’s vision, mission, products, strategy, and team.

Kimberly, Sentio’s VP of Business Development, will pitch Sentio Solutions in the 6th annual CVC-SF Demo Night on Wednesday September 30th. They are one of five teams who will participate in our first all-virtual Demo Night event.

This year’s event will be a little different than years prior. The San Francisco Demo Night will be focused on HealthTech. The all-virtual nature allowed more teams to apply from all over and will also allow a larger group of attendees. While we will miss the in-person event, we are excited to host all of you that might not have been able to travel to these cities. Remember to RSVP!

Kimberly spent her early career in fortune 500 companies Johnson & Johnson and Coca-Cola. While she appreciated the experience and gained from such established companies, her passion is in building businesses and bringing new solutions to market.

She is particularly inspired by leveraging advances in technology and science to improve healthcare. She has been fortunate to be on the ground floor of 3 early stage wearable companies -- BodyMedia, Jawbone, and Fitbit -- bringing technological innovations to mainstream consumers. She is now leading Sentio Solutions’ mission to remove the suffering from mental health and improve people’s health using our proprietary tech-enabled solutions.

What lead you to working with the Founders of Sentio Solutions?

I have had a front seat in the wearable industry since its infancy and I am highly motivated by the power that machine learning can bring to health insights.

Mental health is an essential determinant of our overall well-being. I want to play a part in changing how we approach the care and maintenance of our emotional health. Sentio Solutions is bringing a truly innovative solution to the market, using continuous emotion monitoring, shedding insight into the biology of emotions.

What makes your product unique?

We provide biomarkers and digital therapeutics for mental health. We do this with our proprietary set of wearable sensors and machine learning algorithms. We are changing the way mental healthcare is approached by linking physiological measurements to thoughts and behaviors. We are able to do this providing clinical outcomes at a fraction of the cost of traditional therapy.

What has the building process been like for your team this year?

Everyone at Sentio Solutions has a strong desire to improve how we care for mental health. With the advent of Covid-19, the mental wellbeing of individuals has been affected globally. Our team answered the pandemic by expanding our solutions to meet people where they are in their own personal journey in an urgent, decisive, and affordable way.

Our team worked around the clock (and I mean around the clock – we are a global team with departments in different time zones) to roll out a Covid specific program called Feel & Feel Relief.

Everyday when we see our local news it is a reminder of who we are working for. We are working for the front-line healthcare worker in the hospital, for the clerk in the grocery store, for the long-haul truck driver, the individual who just lost their job, for that person mourning the loss of a loved one.

Every day, we are reminded of why we do what we do. This pandemic has ignited the urgency for improved care for mental health and the responsibility to succeed is our priority.

What city are you based out of?

Our company is headquartered in San Francisco, CA. I live in Delaware. The rest of our team is dispersed between the US, Greece and China.

Thank you Kimberly! We look forward to hearing you pitch on September 30th. Don’t forget to RSVP!
